Apparently, these should be worn as house slippers. Even though the description says they will keep your feet warm out in the cold. And even though DSW had them out with the boots, not the slippers.
I'm not sure what they are supposed to be. I can only say that they aren't something I would wear around the house, and after wearing them out in the cold...I would not do that again either.
I did not expect them to be water proof, but I did expect to be able to walk across a slightly damp parking lot without the soles actually sucking up all of the water and trapping it in the cozy fur lining. All of the poof balls have split open and needed sewing, and this is only after a few wears.
If you like to wear boots around the house, I guess they would be okay.

I got these great looking shoes after trying them on at a store that didn't have my size. Turned out to be a better deal on Amazon.com anyway. They are very high style. Have received numerous compliments on them. Very warm and snuggly. I wanted these for both work since they look great and week-ends. I love some height added to my shoes. I do a lot of walking around for work as I am an outside rep. After a while, they tend to rub the balls of my feet and make them sore. They would be better for wearing when you aren't going to be doing excessive walking. Comfy when you take the walking factor out of them.

My feet are a little wide, but it's hardly ever a problem. I bought these from a local shoe store since they were having a sale. The ones I tried on in my size were really narrow and so short I could feel all of my toes rubbing the front of the shoe. In order to get a good fit I had to buy them in a whole size up. And even with the larger size they're still a little tight on one foot. I think they'll stretch out alright, but overall, I wouldn't suggest them unless you're willing to make lots of concessions (or returns).
